Job Summary
The Kubernetes Tech Lead will be responsible for leading the migration of applications from EC2 to EKS to improve scalability and enhance container orchestration capabilities. This role involves executing application version upgrades and deployments on EC2 servers, managing CI/CD pipelines, and providing infrastructure support to existing application landscapes while ensuring compliance and documentation are maintained.
Responsibilities
- Lead the migration of applications from EC2 to EKS, improving scalability and container orchestration.
- Execute application version upgrades and deployments on EC2 servers.
- Implement and manage EKS code deployments using Bitbucket and Argo CD to maintain automated and reliable CI/CD pipelines.
- Automate EKS version upgrades through CI/CD pipelines leveraging Bitbucket and Argo CD.
- Deploy Kubernetes workloads using custom YAML manifests, managing Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps, and Secrets.
- Provide infrastructure support for existing application landscapes and ensure application version consistency across multiple environments.
- Conduct monthly audits and keep documentation up-to-date as well as maintain resource inventory documentation using Confluence.
- Utilize ServiceNow and Jira to raise and track requests with cross-functional teams ensuring auditing and asset control compliance for customer environments.

Other Qualifications:
- In-depth experience installing, configuring, and administering Cloud Kubernetes distributions.
- Experience with Docker containers; experience with other containerization technologies is an asset.
- Solid understanding of both general and Kubernetes networking/firewall concepts.
- Ability to prepare and present weekly and monthly reports to customers, focusing on productivity gains and planning transitions in AWS Cloud and Kubernetes environments.
- Experience working in environments with formally structured IT operational processes (work request ticket management, incident management, change management, and problem management).
- Experience in designing architecture, High-Level Design (HLD), and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation for multi-cluster Kubernetes platform deployments.
- Hands-on experience in installation and deployment of Kubernetes Container Platforms.
- Proficiency in AWS services (EKS, IAM, VPC, EC2, CloudWatch).
- Knowledge of Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and Multi-Tenancy Configuration.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and CloudFormation, and AWS Networking/Load Balancing.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with DevOps tools such as GIT, Jenkins, Terraform, etc.
Experience
- Minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience in the field of Cloud infrastructure management and Kubernetes technology.
Environment
- Work will be done in Bengaluru, with an emphasis on offshore collaboration. The role may involve interaction with various teams and stakeholders across different projects.
Salary
- Estimated salary of 150K per month.
