Director - Manufacturing

Job Summary

The Director of Manufacturing will lead and oversee the manufacturing operations of a direct-to-consumer (D2C) company generating an annual revenue of at least ₹900 crore. This leadership role is critical in ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining high-quality standards, and driving operational excellence to support the company’s growth and market demands.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement manufacturing strategies aligned with company goals and revenue targets.
• Oversee production planning, scheduling, and control to optimize manufacturing efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and environmental policies.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
• Manage and mentor manufacturing teams to build a high-performance culture.
• Collaborate with supply chain, product development, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in manufacturing within a D2C or similar high-growth environment.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and operational best practices.
• Excellent strategic planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage large-scale manufacturing operations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Educational qualifications typically include a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with technology integration in manufacturing such as automation and ERP systems.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance and sustainability practices in manufacturing.

Experience

• Extensive experience in manufacturing leadership roles, preferably in a D2C company or a similar fast-paced consumer goods environment.
• Demonstrated track record of managing manufacturing operations for companies with significant revenue scale (₹900 crore or above).

Environment

• The role may involve working in a manufacturing plant environment with exposure to production floors.
