Job Summary

The Solace Engineer will be responsible for engineering, configuration, and administration activities for Solace messaging. This role requires collaboration with the Middleware Engineering team and a willingness to learn and support additional messaging technologies such as IBM MQ and IBM ACE. The position offers a permanent role and is expected to enhance the organization's messaging infrastructure with a focus on event-driven strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering, configuration, and administration activities for Solace messaging within the Middleware Engineering team.
  • Architect and deploy messaging infrastructure using Solace PubSub+ / Advanced Event Mesh across cloud environments.
  • Define and implement event-driven strategies, leveraging Solace features such as event mesh, topic hierarchies, and dynamic routing.
  • Configure Solace components (brokers, VPNs, queues, topics, and client connections) for optimal performance with robust security and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate Solace with microservices, APIs, and external platforms (Kafka, JMS, MQTT, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot complex messaging issues, focusing on latency, throughput, and durability.
  • Automate setup and monitoring processes using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
  • Advise on best practices for event modeling, governance, and topic taxonomy.
  • Provide level 3 support, including incident resolution and root cause analysis.

Qualifications

  • Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Essential Skills:
    • Solace Messaging
    • Cloud (AWS preferred)
    • Scripting experience using Korn Shell Scripts, Perl, etc.
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of total experience.
    • 1-2 years of experience specifically with Solace.
  • Strong knowledge of RedHat Linux.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with TIBCO, IBM MQ, and IBM ACE.
  • Experience with EKS, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
  • AWS certifications in DevOps, SysOps, or Architect track.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Environment

  • Locations: Mumbai, Kolkata, Pune.
  • The position is primarily in-office, with an initial commitment to one month of official work.

Salary

  • Budgeted salary of 20 LPA (Lakhs per Annum).
