Job Summary

As a Quality Assurance (QA) Automation Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and performance of our software applications through rigorous automated testing. Your expertise will contribute to the development and implementation of testing frameworks, the execution of test plans, and the identification of issues to improve product quality.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress with a primary focus on TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and enhance QA strategies and automation efforts.
• Perform backend/API testing using Pytest and engage in mobile automation testing with Appium.
• Assist in the maintenance and improvement of CI/CD workflows and tools such as Jira, Git, and code review processes.
• Communicate effectively within the team to share insights and foster a collaborative environment.
• Own QA responsibilities and ensure the successful execution of testing efforts within assigned squads.

Qualifications

• Experience: 4-8 years in QA automation or similar roles.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong hands-on experience with automation testing frameworks.
  • Proficiency in Cypress (TypeScript/JavaScript).
  • Familiarity with Selenium or Playwright (JavaScript or Python).
  • Experience with mobile automation testing using Appium.
  • Proficient in backend/API testing with Pytest.
  • Solid understanding of TypeScript and SQL/DB concepts.
• Soft Skills:
  • Clear and collaborative communication style.
  • Team-first mindset with the ability to work independently.

Preferred Skills

• Experience testing Single Page Applications (SPAs) using frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.
• Experience with Generative AI (GenAI).
• Knowledge of CMS/CRM/commerce platforms such as Shopify, Salesforce, or Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
• Familiarity with performance testing tools like k6 or JMeter.
• Comfortable working with both SQL and NoSQL databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
• Interest in mentoring or sharing knowledge within the team.
