Job Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<br /> Key Responsibilities:<br /> Design Optimization:<br /> o Analyze and evaluate current electrical systems and infrastructure in existing data centers.<br /> o Develop strategies to optimize energy efficiency, reduce operational costs, and improve<br /> system reliability.<br /> o Implement innovative solutions to enhance the performance of electrical systems.<br /> Innovative Design Principles:<br /> o Research and integrate cutting-edge technologies and methodologies in electrical<br /> engineering.<br /> o Lead the development of new electrical design standards and guidelines for future data<br /> center projects.<br /> o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of new<br /> technologies.<br /> Project Management:<br /> o Manage electrical design projects from conception through implementation, ensuring<br /> timely and budget-conscious delivery.<br /> o Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to achieve project objectives.<br /> o Monitor project progress and adjust as necessary to meet goals.<br /> Technical Leadership:<br /> o Provide expert guidance and support to engineering teams on all aspects of electrical<br /> design and optimization.<br /> o Conduct technical training sessions and workshops to upskill team members and<br /> stakeholders.<br /> Date:, Version 2.0 Page 2 of 2<br /> o Stay updated with industry trends, standards, and regulations to maintain competitive<br /> advantage.<br /> Sustainability and Compliance:<br /> o Promote sustainable practices in electrical system design and operation.<br /> o Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.<br /> o Participate in audits and assessments to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.<br /> QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE<br /> QUALIFICATION &<br /> EXPERIENCE<br /> Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.<br /> 15+ years of experience in Energy Engineering or Energy Management with<br /> a focus on energy conservation for critical facilities.<br /> Proven track record of successful electrical design projects in data centers<br /> or similar environments.<br /> AutoCAD experience is required.<br /> Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Leadership in Energy and Environment<br /> Design (LEED) AP or equivalent program.<br /> Professional Engineering License preferred.<br /> Ability to design in CADD is expected and design ability in Revit is a plus,<br /> but preferred.<br /> Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and best practices.<br /> Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to innovate.<br /> Strong communication and leadership skills.<br /> COMPETENCY AND BEHAVIORAL SKILLS (Use “E” to denote Essential and “D” for Desirable)<br /> E – Strategic Thinking<br /> E – Ability to set goals and execute vision<br /> E - Ability to work to tight deadlines and produce good quality work<br /> E - Able to multitask to manage multiple projects<br /> E - Confident at presenting and talking to clients and vendors<br /> E - Self-motivated and resourceful; able to multi-task and focus on delivering results<br /> E - An articulate communicator with good written communication skills
