Job Summary
The HR Intern will support the Human Resources team in various core HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and HR operations. This role offers a valuable opportunity for a motivated individual to gain practical experience in talent acquisition, HR administration, and employee lifecycle management within a dynamic, fast-paced organization.
Responsibilities
- Assist the HR team with end-to-end recruitment and hiring for café and corporate roles.
- Source candidates through job portals, LinkedIn, employee referrals, and other channels.
- Screen candidate profiles and conduct initial telephonic/virtual conversations.
- Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
- Maintain and regularly update candidate trackers and recruitment MIS.
- Support the onboarding process, including documentation and joining formalities.
- Assist with maintaining employee records and HR databases.
- Coordinate with employees and managers to resolve routine HR-related queries.
- Support employee engagement activities, HR initiatives, and internal communication.
- Assist with attendance, leave, and other basic HR operations.
- Prepare HR reports and support the team with day-to-day administrative activities.
- Work closely with the HR team on ad-hoc people-related projects.
Qualifications
- Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's/Master's degree in HR, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Strong interest in Human Resources and Talent Acquisition.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable speaking with candidates and employees over calls.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel/Google Sheets.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple requirements simultaneously.
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take ownership.
- Previous internship or project experience in HR/recruitment is a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with HRIS or ATS systems.
- Basic understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Enthusiasm for learning about HR processes in a retail/café setting.
Experience
- 0–1 year of relevant experience, preferably in HR, recruitment, or related internships/projects.
