Job Summary

The Automation Test Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of software applications through the design and implementation of automated test scripts. This position focuses on enhancing testing frameworks and collaborating with development and DevOps teams to achieve seamless test execution, thereby contributing to the overall organizational goals of delivering high-quality products.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust automated test scripts for Web Applications and Mobile Applications using tools such as Selenium and Appium.
• Understand the existing framework and develop utilities and framework components as required.
• Design and implement an automated API test suite.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to ensure smooth test execution and deployment.
• Maintain and enhance test frameworks for scalability and reusability.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with developers to resolve issues.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to test strategy and planning.
• Monitor pipeline executions and troubleshoot failures.
• Ensure test coverage for functional, regression, and integration testing.
• Derive Test Automation strategies to optimize the use of the Test Automation suite.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
• Strong knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC).
• Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit).
• Experience with testing mobile applications and/or web applications.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Ready API).
• Hands-on experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Good experience with SQL and Database validations.
• Familiarity with testing tools such as Jira, TestRail, or equivalent.

Experience

• 6-9 years of experience in automation testing, particularly with a focus on web and mobile applications.

Environment

• The position is based in Hyderabad.
• Immediate joiners are preferred.

Salary

• Estimated CTC range of 15-20 LPA (Lakhs per Annum).
