Job Summary

The Liaison Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that all necessary statutory approvals are obtained for projects in a timely manner. This position requires a strong understanding of feasibility studies, budgeting for approvals, and coordinating with various stakeholders, including liaison architects and regulatory bodies, to maintain compliance and support the organization’s objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct feasibility studies to ensure optimum Floor Space Index (FSI) exploitation and obtain necessary statutory approvals.
  • Coordinate with Business Development to support decision-making through feasibility study inputs.
  • Manage relationships with liaison architects, including shortlisting based on performance, negotiating terms, and ensuring timely payments and certifications.
  • Prepare project budgets and plans for approvals, providing critical data to costing and planning teams.
  • Monitor and manage timelines to ensure all necessary approvals and certificates are obtained within budget.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and manage site visits from government officials to facilitate project approvals.
  • Update management and Joint Venture (JV) partners on approval statuses and maintain records of project histories.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture (BARCH), or MBA.
  • 7-8 years of relevant experience in liaison management or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of Development Plan (DP) and Development Control Regulations (DCR).
  • Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proven ability in preparing cash flows, budgets, and approval flow charts.
  • Experience in land acquisition and networking with urban development authorities.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of property taxes, land lease rentals, and other real estate regulations.
  • Familiarity with environmental clearances and relevant application processes.

Experience

A minimum of 7-8 years of experience in liaison management with a focus on obtaining project approvals and managing regulatory relationships.

Environment

Typical work setting involves both office environments and field visits to project sites. The role may require coordination with various governmental bodies and potential travel for site visits.
