The Procurement Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement and buying processes, primarily focusing on commodity purchasing and imports from Indian importers. The role involves developing and maintaining strong vendor relationships, ensuring the consistent availability of quality raw materials at competitive prices, and driving cost efficiencies through negotiations and supplier development. Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement and buying processes, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods.
• Handle commodity buying and imports, primarily from Indian importers, ensuring compliance with import regulations and quality standards.
• Develop, onboard, and maintain strong vendor relationships to secure reliable supply sources.
• Ensure consistent availability of quality raw materials at competitive prices to meet production and operational needs.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives and procurement efficiencies through effective negotiations and supplier development programs.
• Monitor market trends, pricing, availability, and commodity movements to inform procurement strategies.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders such as production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure timely procurement and supply chain operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
• Strong understanding of commodity buying and import procedures, especially from Indian importers.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Knowledge of market analysis, pricing strategies, and commodity market trends.
• Ability to develop and maintain supplier relationships.
• Educational qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or related field.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and procurement software/tools.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Experience with import/export regulations and documentation.
• Familiarity with cost reduction strategies and supplier development.

Experience

• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in procurement, preferably in commodities and import management.
• Experience working with Indian importers and handling import logistics is highly desirable.
