Prior Experience in Big 4 (atleast 4 years). Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and managing financial controls is essential. Familiarity with financial software, ERP systems, and strong Excel skills. Job Purpose This position plays a critical role in supporting the group’s financial health, guiding financial planning, reporting, and analysis, and maintaining effective processes across all locations. Main Job responsibilities of Finance Strategy &MIS Finance Strategy &MIS Financial Reporting & Audit Coordination: Lead the preparation of financial statements in compliance with Schedule III of the Companies Act. Serve as the primary liaison for statutory auditors during financial audits. Ensure timely closure of books (standalone & consolidated) with high accuracy and adherence to statutory norms. Support the development of analytical review documentation, explaining variances across periods. MIS & Strategic Financial Planning: Prepare and present monthly Budget vs Actual reports with variance analysis to Business Units Provide insightful MIS reports to investors periodically, including follow-up on queries and information requests. Drive analysis around EBITDA performance including utilization trends, cost drivers, and margin levers. Partner with business and commercial teams to build annual budgets and rolling forecasts. Management Reporting & Analytics: Prepare and present monthly MIS (Management Information Systems) reports, providing critical insights and highlighting key exceptions to management in a timely manner. Utilize analytics to support data-driven decision-making processes. Technical Knowledge and Process Optimization: Demonstrate strong technical expertise and understanding of finance and accounting processes, specifically in the retail industry with multi-location operations. Implement and maintain best practices for standard operating procedures to optimize core finance and accounting functions. Business Finance & Stakeholder Management: Act as the finance point of contact for internal business units, supporting operational and strategic decisions. Offer actionable insights and financial recommendations to Discovery and Business Development units. Support internal controls and ensure financial data integrity across geographies. Audit Coordination: Coordinate effectively with external auditors to ensure smooth and timely closure of quarterly and annual audits, upholding accuracy and compliance standards. Audit & Assurance Experience: (Prior Experience in Big 4 Audit firms) Finalization of financial statements, including standalone and consolidated books. Assessment of compliance with IND AS. Evaluate internal controls, identifying gaps and suggesting improvements.
