About this role: We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Solution Engineer to join us. The ideal candidate will have extensive engineering experience, a proven track record of designing and building SaaS-based applications for direct-to consumer businesses, and expertise in managing multiple vendor service providers. The candidate should possess in-depth knowledge of software development and enterprise architecture, data modelling, cloud technologies, high-performance applications, API-first design, and collaboration tools.<br /> <br /> Key responsibilities: • Define and implement technology architecture that aligns with a D2C business and scalability needs. • Develop API-first strategies ensuring modular, reusable, and secure integrations across platforms. • Design highly resilient and fault-tolerant systems that ensure uptime and business continuity. • Optimize for high performance and scalability, addressing latency, throughput, and system efficiency. • Lead data modelling and database architecture to ensure structured, efficient, and scalable data storage. • Establish security best practices across applications, infrastructure, and data management. • Collaborate with engineering teams to implement architectural decisions in alignment with agile development. • Evaluate and select technology stacks, balancing innovation with maintainability and cost. • Develop governance frameworks for API lifecycle management, DevOps, and cloud infrastructure. • Drive automation in infrastructure and deployments, leveraging CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as Code.<br /> <br /> Key skills and experiences: • Bachelor’s/master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field. • 10+ years of experience in software development and architecture, preferably in fast-scaling environments. • Proven track record in designing large-scale, distributed, and cloud-native architectures. • Experience working with microservices, event-driven architectures, and domain-driven design. • Strong understanding of compliance, security frameworks, and data privacy regulations. • Should have built and/or architected D2C digital apps – websites and mobile. • API-First Design: RESTful APIs, GraphQL, OpenAPI/Swagger, API Gateway Management 1 • Resiliency & Fault Tolerance: multi-region deployments • High Performance Architecture: Load balancing, caching (Redis, CDN), database indexing, async processing • Data Modelling & Storage: SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL), NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB), data warehousing, schema design • Cloud & DevOps: AWS/GCP/Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, CI/CD Pipelines • Security & Compliance: OAuth, JWT, encryption, threat modelling, SOC2, GDPR, ISO 27001 • Scalability & Observability: Distributed tracing, logging (ELK, Prometheus), performance monitoring (New Relic, Datadog) • Collaboration Tools: Mastery of Confluence, Jira, ADO, Miro, and Slack for documentation, backlog management, brainstorming, and async communication. • Cross-Team Communication: Ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholders and drive alignment across engineering, product, and leadership teams. • Leadership & Decision-Making: Effectively guiding teams across time zones through structured architecture reviews, clear documentation, and decisive yet inclusive problem-solving.
