Job Summary: The Operations Manager - Dispatch and Logistics is responsible for
overseeing the dispatch and logistics functions within the company. This role ensures
efficient and timely delivery of products, optimal utilization of resources, and coordination
between various departments to meet customer demands. The ideal candidate will have a
strong background in logistics, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to lead and
motivate a team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Logistics Management:
o Develop and implement logistics strategies to ensure efficient transportation
of goods.
o Oversee the planning and execution of inbound and outbound logistics
operations.
o Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and retailers to streamline the
supply chain.
o Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics to identify areas for
improvement.

2. Dispatch Operations:
o Supervise and manage the dispatch team to ensure timely and accurate
delivery of products.
o Develop dispatch schedules and optimize routes to maximize efficiency and
reduce costs.
o Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during
the dispatch process.
o Handle escalations and resolve issues related to dispatch and delivery.

3. Team Leadership:
o Lead, train, and motivate a team of logistics and dispatch professionals.
o Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team
members.
o Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
o Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills and
knowledge.

4. Resource Management:
o Manage fleet operations, including vehicle maintenance, inspections, and
compliance with regulations.

o Optimize the use of resources, including personnel, equipment, and
technology.
o Implement cost-saving measures without compromising service quality.

5. Customer Service:
o Collaborate with the customer service team to address customer inquiries
and resolve delivery issues.
o Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through timely and accurate order
fulfillment.
o Maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.

6. Process Improvement:
o Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational
efficiency and effectiveness.
o Utilize data and analytics to make informed decisions and drive continuous

7. Reporting and Documentation:
o Prepare and present regular reports on logistics and dispatch performance to
senior management.
