The Manager Development is responsible for leading a team of staff employees, ensuring their performance aligns with organizational goals. This role involves defining a vision for the team, optimizing operational efficiency, and acting as a reference point for complex problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of staff employees, setting performance objectives, conducting performance reviews, and recommending pay actions.
- Define and share the technical/functional team roadmap and vision in alignment with department and company objectives.
- Report on team activities and be accountable for the performance and results of the unit.
- Develop plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges.
- Suggest alternatives, improvements, and new techniques in processes, operational models, and plans.
- Timely manage the investigation and resolution of production support issues and customer inquiries.
Qualifications
- Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Java and Python is mandatory.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience: Knowledge of policies, procedures, and business plans relevant to the role.
- Business Acumen: Ability to moderate budgetary impacts on business and develop strategic plans.
Preferred Skills
- Experience collaborating with software development, architecture, solutions, and QA teams.
- Familiarity with software design principles for testability, stability, scalability, and performance.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in software development and team management.
