Job Summary

The Data Modeler will focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining effective data models that support data warehousing, business intelligence, and analytical frameworks. This role is critical in translating business requirements into data structures that facilitate optimized data storage and usage.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement NoSQL data models appropriate for data warehousing and analytical approaches.
• Utilize common notations (such as IE) for effective communication of data modeling concepts.
• Develop and maintain scripts using SQL, Data Definition Language (DDL), Data Manipulation Language (DML), and PySpark.
• Employ tools such as ERWIN and Visio for data modeling and Unified Modeling Language (UML) diagram creation.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather requirements and validate data models.
• Perform data quality assessments and optimization of existing data models.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in NoSQL modeling techniques.
• Strong skills in SQL, including DDL and DML operations.
• Experience with PySpark scripting.
• Hands-on experience using ERWIN and Visio for data modeling.
• Familiarity with UML for creating functional diagrams.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
