Job Summary

The Mainframe z/OS role is designed for professionals with experience in the latest versions of DB2 on z/OS software. The position focuses on leveraging unsupported and new features to enhance system performance and reliability, contributing to the organization's overall technological advancement.

Responsibilities

• Utilize and implement unsupported features in recent versions of DB2 on z/OS (V10, V11, etc.) to optimize system performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new functionalities into existing systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to DB2 on z/OS, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient operations.
• Conduct training sessions for team members on new features and best practices in DB2 on z/OS.
• Document processes and updates related to the implementation of new features in DB2.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with DB2 on z/OS, particularly with versions V10 and V11.
• Proficiency in mainframe programming languages such as COBOL, JCL, and SQL.
• Familiarity with system performance tuning and optimization techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of additional mainframe tools and technologies.
• Experience with data migration and integration processes.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

Experience

• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in mainframe environments, specifically with DB2 on z/OS.

Environment

• This position is hybrid, allowing for a combination of remote and in-office work.

Salary

• Estimated salary range: 3,500,000.
