Job description for Senior FP&A and Business Finance Manager :-
Job Summary:
The Senior FP&A and Business Finance Manager is a strategic partner to business
units, responsible for driving financial planning, business analytics, cost control,
and profitability optimization. This role bridges core finance functions with
operational and commercial teams to support data-driven decision-making and
sustainable growth
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Partnership & Financial Advisory
• Collaborate with business leaders to translate strategy into financial plans.
• Provide financial insights to support key decisions, investments, and
operational performance.
• Act as a financial consultant to departments on budgeting, forecasting, and
resource allocation.
2. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting processes.
• Analyze performance vs. budget and deliver variance reports with
commentary.
• Build dynamic financial models and scenario analyses for business growth
opportunities.
3. Revenue, Cost, and Profitability Management
• Track and analyze product-wise, region-wise, or service-line profitability.
• Recommend pricing strategies, margin improvements, and cost-saving
initiatives.
• Monitor working capital metrics and cash flows to support business
operations.
4. Budgeting & Forecasting
• Drive the annual operating budget process in collaboration with
department heads.
• Prepare consolidated budgets with performance KPIs and targets.
• Monitor spend against budgets, ensuring fiscal discipline.
5. Reporting & MIS
• Develop timely and accurate management dashboards and performance
scorecards.
• Deliver actionable reports to track KPIs such as sales, margins, cost ratios,
etc.
• Standardize and automate financial reporting processes across business
units.
6. Compliance & Risk Monitoring
• Ensure financial practices align with internal controls and regulatory
standards.
• Assist in audits and support adherence to company policies and statutory
requirements.
7. Cross-functional Collaboration
• Work closely with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, and HR teams on key
business initiatives.
• Support business expansion, market entry, and new product launches with
financial impact analysis.
8. Team Support and Development
• Mentor and support junior finance analysts or business associates.
• Promote financial literacy and accountability across business units.
Key Requirements:
• CA / MBA Finance / CMA or equivalent degree.
• 5–8 years of experience in business finance, FP&A, or corporate finance
roles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a commercial mindset.
• Hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and
modeling.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial ERP systems (SAP,
Oracle, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management experience.
