Senior Engineering Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background with expertise in the latest technologies, including cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML). Additionally, they should possess exceptional leadership abilities to inspire and guide our team towards achieving our strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership:

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the engineering team, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
  • Stay abreast of the latest technologies, trends, and industry developments in cloud computing, AI, and ML, and incorporate them into our technical strategy.
  • Drive and influence the technical vision of the product through hands-on involvement in architecting, designing, and implementing complex technical solutions.

• Team Management:

  • Manage and oversee a team of engineers, including recruitment, performance management, and professional development.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that encourages innovation, creativity, and continuous learning.
  • Set clear goals and objectives for the team, providing regular feedback and support to ensure their success.

• Project Delivery:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and quality assurance, to deliver high-quality products and solutions on time and within budget.
  • Drive the execution of engineering initiatives, from concept to delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, resolve issues, and make decisions to keep projects on track and on schedule.

• Technical Strategy:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive technical strategy that supports the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Evaluate and recommend technologies, tools, and frameworks to enhance our technical capabilities and drive innovation.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to align technical initiatives with business priorities and market trends.

• Stakeholder Management:

  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including executives, clients, and partners, providing updates on project status, technical achievements, and strategic direction.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements, ensuring alignment of engineering efforts accordingly.

Qualifications

• Educational Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven track record of success in a senior engineering leadership role, with at least 3 years of experience.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in building products from scratch with in-depth knowledge of Microservices and Micro frontends, having depth and breadth of technologies across the tech stack (both UI and Backend).
  • Extensive experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Strong background in new trending technologies like AI, ML, and Generative AI (GENAI); willingness to learn and experiment in these areas.
• Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership and management skills, enabling the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve their full potential.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Google Cloud Professional Architect are a plus.

Experience

• Minimum of 4+ years in a senior engineering leadership role, demonstrating success in managing engineering teams and driving strategic initiatives.
