Finance plays a very active role in the organization, especially in planning, forecasting, cost control, and performance tracking. As the business scales, Varsity Edification is strengthening its Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team to bring more data-backed visibility into growth and decision-making.

Job Summary

The FP&A Manager role focuses on budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and analysis. The individual will contribute to monthly reporting and variance analysis while partnering with cross-functional teams to support business decisions. This position goes beyond reporting and requires the candidate to help leadership understand the implications of the financial data for the business.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting activities.
• Conduct financial modeling and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and perform variance analysis to track performance against budget.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights that drive business decisions.
• Prepare presentations to communicate financial findings and implications to leadership.
• Enhance financial processes and tools to improve efficiency and accuracy in reporting.

Qualifications

• Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) or Master of Business Administration (MBA) is required.
• Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with financial reporting and analysis.
  • Knowledge of tools like Power BI or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Proficiency in Telugu is mandatory due to collaboration with local teams.
  • Ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in an education-focused or operationally-driven business.
• Familiarity with performance tracking and cost control measures.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on strategic financial management.

Experience

• A few years of relevant experience in Financial Planning and Analysis, particularly in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
