Technology Architect – ESG / CSRD Compliance

Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Technology Architect who will lead the design and development of future-state architecture in alignment with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives and Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) compliance requirements. This strategic role will contribute to the organization’s goals by enabling scalable and compliant ESG reporting models.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement end-to-end application and infrastructure architecture for ESG-focused domains.
• Ensure cohesive architecture across sub-domains and integration within the enterprise technology landscape.
• Develop architectural roadmaps that ensure the coexistence of legacy systems and future-state scalability.
• Design digital product boundaries and determine optimal capability placements to enhance performance.
• Define canonical enterprise data models and ensure alignment with the INGKA Total Data Model.
• Architect seamless information flow across digital products, legacy systems, and third-party platforms.
• Act as a resolution point for complex architecture issues during major transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate with domain architects and report to the Enterprise Architect in the Business Support Domain.
• Operate in a cross-functional, agile, and business-aligned delivery environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of overall experience, including 3–5 years in Enterprise Architecture leadership roles.
• Proven track record in CSRD or ESG reporting projects across Business, Data, Application, and/or Technology Architecture.
• Experience working within global enterprises, ideally in retail, Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), or manufacturing industries.
• Strong grasp of Enterprise Architecture frameworks, sustainability compliance systems, and modern technology stacks.
• Experience managing legacy integration and third-party platforms (e.g., SAP).
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence both technical and strategic stakeholders.
• Effective communicator in global, multicultural business environments.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience in delivering architecture solutions in sustainability or compliance-driven digital initiatives.
• Deep understanding of CSRD frameworks, ESG metrics, and related data/reporting tools.
• Ability to operate effectively across both application and infrastructure architecture domains.
• Experience balancing short-term outcomes with long-term digital transformation goals.

Experience

• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in technology architecture roles, with a specific focus on compliance and sustainability.
