Plant Quality - Engineer (New Product Development)

WHAT WILL I BE DOING AT ATHER?

● Conduct DFA analysis to support effi cient and error-free assembly processes. ● Integrate lessons from past failure modes to strengthen product design and reliability. ● Perform FMEA to proactively identify and mitigate risks before SOP. ● Assess and optimize manufacturing and assembly processes to minimize defects. ● Conduct rigorous testing and validation to address quality risks identifi ed in DFA and FMEA. ● Track KPIs (SPR, OLE…) metrics to ensure continuous improvement in quality. ● Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to integrate quality assurance in product design and development. ● Develop and implement quality control plans (QCP) and process fl ow diagrams (PFD) for new products. ● Lead initial sample testing, pre-production, and pilot run inspections. ● Implement corrective actions for non-conforming materials identifi ed during NPD. ● Establish inspection criteria and standards for critical manufacturing processes. ● Collaborate with the Manufacturing team to defi ne acceptance criteria and key performance indicators (KPIs). ● Drive initiatives to reduce process variation and improve First Time Right (FTR) rates. ● Develop lessons learned and best practices for future NPD projects. ● Provide regular updates to management on quality metrics and NPD milestones. ● Conduct PPAP for Manufacturing line ● Prepare and adhere to Factory Work book ● Prepare and participate in gate review inline with APDS.

WHAT KIND OF EXPERIENCE & SKILLS DO I NEED FOR THIS ROLE?

● Profi ciency in quality tools such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC. ● Familiarity with CAD software and product validation tools. ● Ability to understand drawing, Knowledge of sampling plan, inspection & Aesthetic ● Ability to use measuring devices like gauges, meters, calipers etc. ● Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate

WHAT SHOULD I HAVE GRADUATED IN? ● BE / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering ● 6 to 9 Years of experience in Quality assurance at the Automobile industry ● Signifi cant experience in New Product Development
