Job Summary

The Senior Database Developer will leverage 6-10 years of hands-on coding experience in Oracle/PLSQL development to support and enhance database systems. Responsibilities

• Lead a team of database developers, guiding technical direction and development efforts.
• Implement new business features based on requirements specifications and technical designs.
• Fix bugs in existing applications reported by clients or internal testers.
• Refactor existing code to improve efficiency and maintainability.
• Execute development tests and create unit tests to ensure quality.
• Participate in the creation of internal business specifications and technical designs for new features.
• Collaborate with peers across the development team and the organization.
• Maintain lead role attitude and qualities to inspire team members.

Qualifications

• Education: Master's Degree (preferred)
• Experience: 6-8 years in Oracle/PLSQL development; experience in team handling is essential.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong experience in developing PL/SQL procedures, functions, and packages.
  • In-depth knowledge of Oracle Relational Database Management System (RDBMS).
  • Proficient in writing complex SQL queries, views, and materialized views (MVs).
  • Basic database administration skills, including installation, management, and tuning.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL tuning and performance improvements.
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent managerial skills with a results-driven approach.
  • Strong analytical and logical problem-solving abilities.
  • High energy and ability to work independently in an Agile development environment (Scrum, XP, TDD).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC), lending systems, and Microfinance Institution (MFI) domain is preferred.
• Open to learning new technologies and willing to work outside of normal office hours.
