Job Summary

As the first dedicated Go-To-Market (GTM) hire under the founders, this role focuses on owning the tier 2 developer segment from end to end. The position requires building a fast and repeatable sales strategy targeting regional developers who manage projects ranging from 5–50 lakh square feet across various cities. This individual will be instrumental in driving rapid deal closures, establishing a high-volume sales pipeline, and ensuring customer satisfaction post-sale to optimize retention and expansion.

Responsibilities

  • Close Deals at Velocity: Manage end-to-end sales cycles including discovery, demos, site visits, and contracts, aiming for a cycle length of 4–8 weeks.
  • Develop a High-Volume Pipeline: Identify and engage 200+ tier 2 developers, utilizing outbound strategies including cold calls and networking at industry events.
  • Enhance Customer Retention: Support customers post-sale through deployment, facilitating effective use of the product while monitoring for opportunities to expand service use.
  • Document Sales Processes: Create a playbook detailing successful sales strategies, objections, and workflows to streamline future sales efforts.
  • Facilitate Product Feedback: Gather insights on sales challenges to inform product development and enhance speed-to-close in the tier 2 market.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 2–3 years of professional experience in roles such as consulting, high-growth startups, investment banking, or technical sales.
  • Education: A degree from a respected institution; preference for top performers.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written skills to engage with stakeholders effectively.
  • Action-Oriented: A demonstrated bias toward taking initiative and solving problems proactively.
  • High-Volume Comfort: Ability to manage multiple accounts and deals simultaneously, with a focus on efficiency.

Preferred Skills

  • Proficiency in Hindi and another regional language to facilitate communication with tier 2 developers.
  • Exposure to the real estate, construction, or B2B SaaS sales sectors.
  • Experience running a side project or startup initiatives, demonstrating entrepreneurial spirit.

Experience

  • A minimum of 2–3 years in relevant experience, with a strong preference for candidates from top-tier firms or those with high-growth startup experience.

Environment

  • Location: Based in Bangalore, requiring frequent travel (8–12 days a month) across tier 2 cities in India.
  • Work is structured around on-site visits and face-to-face meetings with clients, emphasizing the need for adaptability and eagerness to engage in various settings.
