424085 Director - Application Security Architect

Job Summary

This is an individual contributor role with a focus on strategic design and innovation. The Director of Application Security Architect will develop and maintain a comprehensive application security architecture strategy that aligns with the organization’s business goals and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive application security architecture strategy.
• Lead the design and implementation of secure application architectures for both Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and custom-developed applications.
• Integrate security best practices into the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring that security is embedded in every phase of application development.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and IT teams to implement and enforce security controls and policies.
• Conduct threat modeling, risk assessments, and security code reviews to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Drive the adoption of DevSecOps practices, automating security testing and monitoring within Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Stay current with emerging threats, technologies, and trends in application security to inform strategic decisions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to security engineers and development teams.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of application security principles and practices.
• Experience with security compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI).
• Proficiency in threat modeling and risk assessment methodologies.
• Familiarity with secure coding practices and security testing tools.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to evaluate and select security tools and technologies.
• Educational qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; advanced degrees (e.g., MTech, PhD) are preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AI/ML security considerations.
• Knowledge of cloud security frameworks and best practices.
• Familiarity with network security principles.

Experience

• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in application security or related fields.
• Proven experience in leading security architecture initiatives.

Salary

• Estimated salary range: ₹14,000,000.
