Job Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Jira & Confluence Administrator with strong expertise in Jira Cloud administration, migration from Azure DevOps to Jira, and integration with ServiceNow. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical skills to configure, customize, and optimize Atlassian tools to support our enterprise workflows while collaborating closely with stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions.
Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and maintain Jira Cloud and Confluence Cloud environments, including user management, permissions, workflows, custom fields, dashboards, and reporting.
- Implement automation rules, scripts, and integrations to streamline processes.
- Lead the migration from Azure DevOps to Jira Cloud, ensuring minimal downtime and high data integrity during migration.
- Design and implement integrations between Jira and ServiceNow for seamless ticketing, incident, and change management workflows.
- Define and enforce best practices for Jira and Confluence usage, workflows, and governance.
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for Jira and Confluence issues, conduct training sessions, and create documentation for end users and power users.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on Jira and Confluence administration experience, with at least 3 years on Jira Cloud.
- Proven track record of Azure DevOps to Jira Cloud migrations, including large-scale, multi-project environments.
- Strong experience with ServiceNow integration into Jira Cloud.
- Proficiency in configuring Jira workflows, schemes, permissions, automation rules, and reporting.
- Experience with Atlassian Marketplace apps and plugins (e.g., ScriptRunner, Advanced Roadmaps, BigPicture).
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and DevOps pipelines.
- Experience writing JQL (Jira Query Language) queries and using APIs for integration/automation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
- Atlassian Certified Jira Administrator or related certifications.
- Experience in enterprise-scale environments with 1,000+ users.
- Familiarity with ITIL practices for change and incident management.
- Scripting experience (e.g., Groovy, Python, PowerShell).
Experience
A minimum of 5+ years of relevant Jira and Confluence administration experience, including significant experience with Jira Cloud.
Environment
The position is open for candidates located in Toronto, Gurgaon, or Delhi.
