Senior Engineer - Quality Management System (QMS)

Job Summary

The Senior Engineer - Quality Management System (QMS) is responsible for managing and implementing IPEC's Quality Management System, Environmental Management System (EMS), and Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHS) in compliance with ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2015 standards. This role is critical in maintaining effectiveness and ensuring continual improvement within our quality processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update documentation for Level 1, 2, 3, and 4 as per ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2015 requirements.
• Ensure document control, distribution, preservation, and retention pertaining to the Quality Management System, Legal, and Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSRs).
• Conduct and review plant-level and process-level risk assessments related to Quality Management System, Legal, and CSRs.
• Prepare and review contingency plans in compliance with Quality Management System, Legal, and CSRs.
• Coordinate and revise documents as per system and temporary changes to ensure compliance.
• Collect and update Measurement of Performance (MOP) metrics for all business processes in the Integrated Management System (IMS).
• Coordinate internal and external audits according to ISO standards and follow up on nonconformance (NC) closures.
• Prepare and maintain the Management Review Meeting (MRM) plan, agenda, and minutes of meetings (MOM).
• Maintain the effectiveness of the Integrated Management System (IMS).

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) in Electrical, Electronics, or an equivalent field.
• Experience: Minimum of 6-8 years’ experience in a Senior Engineer role focusing on Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Skills:
  • Knowledge of risk-based thinking and the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) & SDCA (Standardize-Do-Check-Act) approach.
  • Proficient in business process mapping and CSR matrix development.
  • Understanding of core quality management tools.
  • Familiarity with the process vs. process interaction matrix and IMS requirements.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Skills

• Additional experience in Quality Management System documentation and auditing processes would be an asset.

Experience

• A minimum of 6-8 years’ experience in Quality Management Systems or a related field.
