Technical Architect (OpenStack) - Communications / Intelligence Software firm

Location: Indore / Remote / Hybrid

Scrabble has been mandated to hire an experienced Technical Architect for a leading Intelligence / Communication & Monitoring software firm.

The client is a leading global provider of analytics and monitoring solutions, dedicated to empowering law enforcement, intelligence agencies, and national security organizations with tools for decision-making and insights to deal with cyber threats, terrorism, organized crime & malicious propaganda.

Responsibilities / Requirements:

Some essential requirements / responsibilities of the role include:

• Advising customers and colleagues on cloud and virtualization topics.
• Working with the architecture team on cloud design projects using Openstack.
• Collaborating with product, customer success, and presales on customer projects.
• Setting up open stack environments for projects.
• Designing, deploying, and maintaining OpenStack infrastructure.
• Hands on experience with OpenStack framework. Ability to set up private cloud using OpenStack environment.
• Strong experience with OpenStack services like Neutron, Cinder, Keystone, etc.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Ruby, or Go.
• Strong knowledge of Linux systems administration and networking.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies like KVM or VMware.
• Experience with configuration management and IaC tools like Ansible, Terraform.
• Subject matter expertise of OpenStack security
• Sound knowledge of cloud computing concepts & technologies (docker, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Ability to configure OpenStack environment for optimum resources.
• Good knowledge of security, operations in an openstack environment
• Strong knowledge of Linux internals, networking, storage, security
• Strong knowledge of VMware Enterprise products (ESX, vCenter)
• Hands on experience with HEAT orchestration
• Experience with CI/CD, monitoring, operational aspects
• Exposure to Big data technologies (Messaging queues, Hadoop/MPP, NoSQL databases)
• Hands on experience with open-source monitoring tools like Grafana/Prometheus/Nagios/Ganglia/Zabbix etc.

Pre-requisities / Qualifications

• Some of the essential qualifications for the role are:
• B.Tech / BSc / MCA degree
• Minimum of 10-12 years of experience.
• Experience in Product Development / Maintenance / Production Support (services).
• Basic understanding of business services for Fortune 1000 companies from an operational point of view
• Any certification with regard to support services will be an added advantage

Note: The role is based out of Indore, India but a Hybrid / Remote arrangement may be agreed for a befitting candidate.
