Job Summary
The Business Head/COO will be responsible for leading the company’s P&L, driving growth, and ensuring operational efficiency. The role requires a strategic mindset to balance growth with profitability and involves working closely with senior management to implement the CEO's vision. The ideal candidate will have a strong brand background, familiarity with digital and e-commerce, and a deep understanding of the Indian ethnic wear market.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a roadmap to scale e-commerce revenue while maintaining profitability.
- Define and implement a P&L-driven growth strategy.
- Optimize e-commerce pricing and margin structures to ensure sustainable cash flow and profitability.
- Streamline the relationship between e-commerce and physical stores to enhance omni-channel operations.
- Identify additional revenue streams while maintaining profitability and a no-discount strategy.
- Build a strong second line of management in both divisions while leading by example.
Qualifications
- 8-15 years of experience in e-commerce or retail business, preferably in the Indian ethnic wear sector.
- Proven track record of scaling a D2C or e-commerce brand with a focus on profitability and sustainable growth.
- Experience working in family business or founder-led organizations, with a strong understanding of P&L management.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in driving revenue growth and optimizing working capital.
- Deep understanding of customer behavior, especially in the Indian ethnic wear market.
- Comfort with Tamil language and understanding of South Indian culture is preferred.

- Ability to balance operational efficiency with strategic growth initiatives.
- Hands-on leader with a problem-solving mindset and a collaborative approach.
- Experience with omni-channel retail strategies, inventory management, and digital marketing.
Experience
Minimum of 8-15 years of relevant experience, with a focus on small family business or retail, preferably within the Indian ethnic wear market. Prior experience in family business or founder-led organizations is mandatory.
Environment
The position is based in Bangalore, and the role is full-time. It requires working closely with cross-functional teams and senior management to drive strategic initiatives and operational efficiencies.
