MDM Catalog Engineer

Job Summary

The MDM Catalog Engineer will be responsible for implementing and managing technical metadata integration and modeling using Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) Data Governance & Catalog service. The role will play a critical part in establishing robust metadata management practices, ensuring seamless integration, and supporting data governance initiatives throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain technical metadata integration solutions using Informatica IDMC Data Governance & Catalog services.
• Model and document metadata to support data governance, data quality, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with data stewards, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure data assets are catalogued accurately and consistently.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to metadata integration and cataloging.
• Participate in the design and implementation of data governance frameworks and best practices.
• Ensure that metadata models are aligned with business needs and technical architecture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data management, metadata integration, or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of Informatica IDMC Data Governance & Catalog or similar metadata management tools.
• Proficiency in data modeling and metadata documentation.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across functional teams.
• Knowledge of data governance principles and best practices.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) solutions.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and integration services.
• Informatica certification(s) in Data Governance, Catalog, or MDM.
• Knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience with agile project management methodologies.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in metadata integration, cataloging, or data governance roles.
