Job Title: Head of Operations Growing

 

Role Overview:

The Organisation is seeking a passionate and experienced Farm Operations Head to join our team. The Farm Operations Head is responsible for overseeing all aspects of cultivation processes to ensure the successful production of high-quality crops. This role involves managing the growing environment, monitoring plant health, ensuring compliance with safety and agricultural standards, and leading a team of growers and support staff. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of agricultural practices, crop management, and is experienced in operating in controlled environments.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

50. Leading the team of Farm Operations growing and grading. Managing the labours/workers at the farm.
50. Forecasting the yield
50. Coordinating with the accounts team in making of P &L of farms
50. Timely supply of raw material of seeds and nutrition at the farm sites .
50. Overseeing the availability of stock at the farm.
50. Managing daily plant care process at the farm through right implementation of the processes scaled through Pan India Sites.
50. Ensuring timely harvest and coordination with distribution for the delivery to grading warehouse.
50. Maximizing yield and lowering cost at the farm level.
50. Coordinating with the sales and strategy team for selection on crop
50. Taking care of Nursery planning,nursery plantation and maintaining a steady state yield across the year
50. Identifying gaps of the farm set -up to run farms on 100% capacity.
50. Helping site managers and growers with all the necessary equipments, data analysis and resources to drive plant health
50. Taking care of the budgeting of his team
50. Scaling of operations of farms in PAN India and implementation of system needed with senior agronomist-grower.
50. Visiting farms on monthly basis.
50. Making operations related SOPs

 

 

 

Required skills and qualifications:

 

• Bachelor's degree in agriculture, horticulture, plant science, or related field (Master's preferred).,MBA in Operations
• Minimum 15-20 years of experience in Operations and Leadership role.
• Strong understanding of plant biology, growing techniques, and environmental control systems.
• Experience managing teams in agricultural settings.
• Proficiency with technology used for climate control, irrigation, and crop monitoring.
• Excellent leadership, communication and project management skills.
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
