Job Summary
The Investment Advisor / Wealth Advisor will play a crucial role in converting qualified leads into long-term clients. The primary focus will be on engaging with potential clients through inbound discovery calls, understanding their financial situation, addressing their concerns, and guiding them through Zomint's unique advisory process. This position is vital in ensuring that leads feel confident and clear about their financial journey with Zomint.
Responsibilities
- Take inbound discovery calls with qualified leads to understand their financial situation, concerns, and goals, guiding them through how Zomint operates.
- Manage the pipeline from the first call to signed onboarding by following up, handling objections, and coordinating with operations for a smooth transition.
- Conduct needs assessment conversations to collect necessary information for the investment desk to create an accurate initial financial plan.
- Clearly present Zomint's advisory proposition, outlining the services offered, the methodology, and clients’ expectations over the first five years.
- Re-engage leads who have dropped off by identifying their concerns, addressing any gaps, and bringing them back into the sales funnel.
- Rigorously track pipeline metrics such as call outcomes, conversion rates, drop-off reasons, and time-to-close statistics.
- Provide feedback to the team regarding common objections, unanswered questions, and potential areas for improvements in the sales funnel.
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in a client-facing financial services role, such as wealth management, bancassurance, financial advisory, or fintech sales.
- Proven track record of converting prospects in a consultative rather than transactional sales environment.
- Strong listening skills; able to ask insightful questions and diagnose client needs effectively.
- Comfort discussing financial topics, including portfolio sizes, debt, family goals, and financial anxieties without causing discomfort.
- Sufficient financial literacy to engage credibly in conversations; understanding terms like SIP (Systematic Investment Plan) and asset allocation.
- Structured follow-through capabilities; adept at tracking every lead, call outcome, and commitment.
- High energy and low ego; motivated by volume and consistency rather than a single large deal.
Preferred Skills
- NISM Series V-A (Mutual Fund Distributor) certification.
- Experience working with mass affluent or High Net-Worth Individuals (HNI) clients (₹15L–₹5Cr in investable assets).
- Familiarity with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system; experience in managing a pipeline rather than just maintaining a call list.
- Prior experience in a wealth management startup or advisory firm where the focus was on providing advice rather than selling products.

- 2–5 years of relevant client-facing experience is required, ideally in financial services roles.
