Automation Testing Engineer

Job Summary

The Automation Testing Engineer will be responsible for developing and executing automated test scripts using Cypress for web applications and conducting API testing. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality and reliability of software products by identifying defects and improving the testing process.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress for web applications.
• Perform API testing to ensure the functionality and performance of backend services.
• Collaborate with the development team to understand requirements and design effective test cases.
• Execute test cases and report defects, providing detailed documentation for troubleshooting.
• Participate in daily stand-ups and sprint planning meetings to align with project goals and timelines.
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance test coverage and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of automation testing principles and practices.
• Familiarity with Cypress for end-to-end testing.
• Basic knowledge of API testing concepts and tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with other automation testing frameworks.
• Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) processes.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in automation testing; entry-level candidates are not encouraged to apply.

Environment

• Full-time position with the possibility of remote work or in-office based on company policy. Location: Pune.

Salary

Estimated salary range: 500,000 - 800,000.
