Job Summary

The Senior Software Engineer will lead a team of Java developers, overseeing the design and implementation of Java-based applications. This role is crucial for ensuring the overall success of our software development projects, making technical decisions, and guiding the team to deliver high-quality solutions in collaboration with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Java developers to deliver robust software solutions.
• Oversee the design and implementation of Java-based applications, ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Ensure the success of software development projects through effective team guidance and technical decision-making.
• Contribute to the architecture and design of complex systems to meet business requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions that align with organizational goals.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the development team.

Qualifications

• Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in Java, Microservices, and unit testing frameworks.
  • Experience with Micronaut, Spring Framework, Spring Batch, Spring Security, and related libraries.
  • Strong understanding of REST API and SOAP web services, particularly with Spring Boot/Micronaut Framework.
  • Knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience with Junit and Mockito frameworks.
  • Basic understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Willingness to learn Front-end technologies, particularly React.js, in a multi-skilled full-stack development environment.
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate ideas and solutions effectively.
  • Capability to present designs and solutions to stakeholders, including clients.
  • Flexibility to collaborate with onsite and offshore teams across different geographies and time zones.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with Kotlin and Micronaut.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD processes and tools.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with a focus on successful project delivery.

Experience

• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in software development, particularly in Java development and microservices architecture.
