Job Description

Key Responsibilities: 

Dispatch & Fulfilment

Plan and execute daily B2B dispatches as per customer schedules
Monitor dispatch ageing and clear backlog
Ensure OTIF service adherence

Transporter Management

Allocate transporters based on route and urgency
Control freight cost through negotiation and load optimization
Track vehicle placement and transit timelines
Ensure POD closure within TAT

Customer Coordination

Act as SPOC for Channel partners and Logitics partners 
Resolve delivery escalations proactively
Ensure compliance with customer dispatch requirements

Route Planning & Cost Optimization

Improve vehicle utilization through better planning
Implement milk-run / consolidation strategies
Reduce secondary freight cost

Cross-functional Coordination

Align with Sales for dispatch priorities
Coordinate with Warehouse for shipment readiness
Work with Finance for freight validation
Support Customer Service for escalation closure

Returns & Reverse Logistics

Manage RTO and customer returns
Control ageing return inventory
Ensure coordination with the warehouse returns department. and system stock reconciliation after the stock is received at the warehouse. 

MIS & Compliance

Track KPIs: OTIF, freight cost, dispatch TAT, utilization, damages
Maintain transporter performance dashboards
Ensure compliance with statutory transport documentation.
Track logistics deviations and ensure cost recovery from transporters through debit notes where applicable.
Monitor transporter performance regarding placement, transit delays, damage, shortages, and POD closure.
Recover penalties / excess costs by debiting the logistics partner as per contract terms.
Control freight billing accuracy and approve transporter invoices. 

Process Improvement

Drive logistics cost-saving initiatives
Implement SOP-based dispatch governance
Support WMS / TMS automation improvements 

Key KPIs

OTIF | Freight per Unit | Vehicle Utilization | Dispatch Backlog | POD Closure TAT | Return Cycle Time | Damage % | Transporter Fill Rate 

Qualifications Graduate / MBA (Supply Chain / Operations) with 8-12 years of experience in B2B logistics across warehousing, FMCG, retail, or distribution networks.   Key Responsibilities:
