Job Summary

As an Electrical Integration Test Engineer, you will be a critical member of the Product Validation team. Your primary responsibility will involve performing end-to-end testing of Vehicle Electronic Control Units (ECUs) at both component and system levels. Your contributions will ensure that Ather’s products meet high standards of quality and safety before market launch. You will collaborate closely with hardware and firmware engineering teams, developing test environments and cases that reflect the real-world use of our electric vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and manage Functional, Pre-Compliance, and Thermal Testing on vehicle ECUs.
  • Conduct and oversee Durability Testing and design Test Benches.
  • Plan and execute Integration Testing and Engineering Validation & Testing at the system level.
  • Manage Component Qualification Tests and testing of Electric batteries and dashboards.
  • Identify bugs during different phases of development and report them comprehensively.
  • Analyze test results and present findings through detailed test reports.
  • Envisage customer use cases and abuse conditions to enhance Design Validation Plans (DVP).
  • Execute safety and regulatory tests at the sub-system level according to recommended standards.
  • Conduct Testing of EV Charging Algorithms and Electric Vehicle Powertrain Testing.
  • Design test automation procedures and develop test jigs and fixtures as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Electrical Component/System-level Testing within the automotive industry, focusing on electric vehicles.
  • Proficiency in various testing protocols, including RS232, RS485, SPI, UART, Ethernet, USB, and CAN.
  • Familiarity with hardware equipment and software tools such as Power Analyzer, DSO, DMM, and LabVIEW.
  • Sound understanding of Microcontroller, Microprocessor, and Digital Signal Processor (DSP) Architecture.
  • Knowledge of Power Management ICs and Semiconductor Device Characteristics.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in Test Automation and designing test fixtures.
  • Proficient in debugging and troubleshooting electric vehicle issues.
  • Familiar with Gage R&R and Calibration practices.

Experience

  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in electrical component/system-level testing, particularly in the automotive sector with an emphasis on electric vehicles.
