Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior AVP / General Manager – Operations to optimize end-to-end operations across supply chain, procurement, production, logistics, inventory management, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance. The role requires a strategic leader who can drive operational excellence, enhance efficiency, ensure product quality, and support the organization's growth objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, deep operational expertise, and experience managing large-scale operations within the food, Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), manufacturing, or related industries.
Responsibilities

Strategic Operations Management
- Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with the company's business objectives and growth plans.
- Drive operational excellence initiatives to improve productivity, scalability, and profitability.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to support business expansion and process optimization.

Production & Manufacturing Operations
- Ensure efficient production processes while maintaining high standards of product quality, safety, and consistency.
- Monitor production performance metrics and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce wastage.

Logistics & Distribution
- Lead logistics and distribution operations to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective product delivery.
- Optimize transportation, warehousing, and distribution networks to improve service levels and operational efficiency.

Inventory Management
- Monitor inventory levels and establish effective controls to prevent stock shortages, excess inventory, and obsolescence.
- Implement inventory planning and forecasting processes to support business demand.

Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Establish and maintain robust quality assurance systems and operational standards.
- Ensure all products consistently meet company quality benchmarks and customer expectations.
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI regulations, statutory requirements, operational policies, and industry best practices.
- Manage audits, certifications, licenses, and regulatory documentation.

Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
- Identify opportunities for process enhancement, automation, and cost optimization.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using data-driven decision-making and performance metrics.
- Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and operational frameworks to standardize processes across functions.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead and mentor cross-functional teams across supply chain, production, logistics, and quality functions.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment between operational capabilities and business requirements.

Reporting & Analytics
- Track and analyze key operational KPIs, including production efficiency, inventory turnover, supply chain performance, logistics costs, and quality metrics.
- Prepare and present periodic operational performance reports and strategic recommendations to senior management and leadership teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.
- 12–18+ years of progressive experience in operations leadership roles.
- Proven experience managing supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, procurement, and quality functions.
- Experience in Food Processing, FMCG, Manufacturing, Consumer Goods, or related industries preferred.
- Strong understanding of FSSAI regulations, quality systems, and operational compliance requirements.
