Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and analytical Inventory Manager to oversee our Central Pharmaceutical Warehouse. The incumbent will manage bulk pharmaceutical inventory across all hospital units, drive inventory accuracy at a mass SKU level, and ensure seamless supply chain flow from the warehouse to each hospital pharmacy. A strong background in pharmacy combined with hands-on Excel or ERP expertise is essential for this role.
Responsibilities
- Warehouse Inventory Control: Oversee and manage end-to-end inventory of all pharmaceutical SKUs stored in the central warehouse, maintaining real-time stock accuracy for thousands of SKUs across multiple medicine categories.
- Supply & Replenishment Planning: Analyze consumption data from all hospital pharmacy units to forecast replenishment needs and raise Purchase Orders (POs) or indent requests to vendors/procurement teams based on reorder levels.
- Data Management & Analytics: Own and manage the master inventory tracker in Excel/ERP with all SKU details, batch numbers, expiry dates, and bin locations; prepare various inventory reports for analysis and decision-making.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure all storage conditions comply with pharmaceutical storage requirements and maintain all statutory records as per regulatory requirements.
- Team Leadership: Lead, train, and supervise a team of inventory associates and warehouse staff, setting daily targets and monitoring performance.
Qualifications
- Education: D. Pharma (Diploma in Pharmacy) strongly preferred OR B. Pharma / B.Sc. (Life Sciences) with demonstrated pharmacy inventory experience.
- Experience: 3–6 years in pharmaceutical warehouse/inventory management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role handling large SKU volumes.
- Excel Skills: Advanced Excel skills are mandatory, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data validation with large datasets (10,000+ rows).
- Numerical Aptitude: Strong numerical aptitude to track stock value, identify discrepancies, and interpret financial inventory data.
- Systems Knowledge: Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Tally, Marg, or equivalent pharmacy/WMS software) is an added advantage.
Preferred Skills
- Deep knowledge of pharmaceutical products, drug categories, storage requirements, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven ability to manage mass-level SKU inventory (1,000+ SKUs across multiple dosage forms).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-first approach to inventory decisions.
- Excellent organizational skills for managing the demands of multiple hospital units.
