VP Business Excellence – Global Payer Back Office Operations
Job Summary
The Vice President and Head of Payer Business Excellence is responsible for driving the organization's strategic business initiatives, ensuring successful service delivery for clients, and continually enhancing business excellence. This role requires a hands-on leader who is adept at communicating across all levels of the organization and with clients.
Responsibilities
- Lead Quality Assurance: Establish, maintain, and improve the quality framework to ensure noiseless delivery with optimum cost of operations.
- Efficiency Improvement: Deliver defined targets for efficiency improvements within the business.
- Value Creation: Lead and deliver on value creation goals across multiple clients.
- Cross-Geo Projects: Identify and execute on cross-geographic and cross-practice projects.
- Capability Building: Develop capabilities for a portfolio of practices.
- Business Excellence Strategy: Create and execute a Business Excellence strategy aligned with business needs.
- Business Impact Accountability: Be accountable for the business impact within the portfolio.
- Leadership Collaboration: Work with senior leadership on priority projects and performance fixes.
- Thought Leadership: Provide insights on new operating models and leverage digital capabilities to build a lean and effective quality organization.
- Proposal Creation: Develop proposals for business challenges.
- Engagement Leadership: Lead the Business Excellence engagement for any Requests for Quotations (RFQs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and new business opportunities.
Qualifications
- Experience: 20+ years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in the U.S. healthcare sector.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technology or business-related field.
- Certification: Six Sigma Master Black Belt (MBB) or equivalent certification with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Technology Proficiency: Ability to leverage technology to design effective solutions.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional facilitation, presentation, and written/verbal communication skills.
- Stakeholder Management: Experience managing multi-geographic stakeholder relationships.
- Leadership Skills: Proven track record in interfacing with senior stakeholders both within the organization and externally.
- People Management: Excellent skills in team management and development.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with digital transformation initiatives in the healthcare sector.
- Familiarity with AI technologies and their application in business excellence.
Experience
- A minimum of 20 years relevant professional experience, with a significant focus on U.S. healthcare.
