Job Summary
As a Developer (AWS Engineer), you will contribute to the development and implementation of large-scale data solutions on the AWS platform. Your role will involve hands-on programming using Node.js and Python, as well as building and managing data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with onshore teams.
Responsibilities
- Independently drive development tasks related to AWS Cloud solutions.
- Develop and implement large-scale Data Lakes and data analytics platforms on AWS.
- Build data pipelines utilizing various AWS services such as Redshift, RDS, S3, Glue, EMR, and more.
- Conduct data profiling to identify data quality issues and maintain thorough documentation of your work.
- Collaborate effectively with onshore and offshore teams following Agile methodologies.
- Manage source code using systems like GitHub or AWS CodeCommit and implement CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 5-6 years of overall IT experience.
- At least 3 years in an AWS Cloud environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong hands-on development experience in Node.js and Python.
- Proficient in AWS services such as Glue ETL, Glue Data Catalog, EMR, PySpark, S3, and SQL scripts.
- Experience with data profiling and documentation.
- Familiarity with Agile methodology and distributed delivery models.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Databricks for data pipelines.
- Knowledge of Starburst for semantic layers on AWS.
- Familiarity with workflow orchestration in enterprise environments.
Experience
- 5-6 years of IT experience with a focus on AWS Cloud and data analytics.
