Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced ETL Test Engineer to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in validating data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions. You will work closely with data engineers, analysts, and QA leads to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and quality across various platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive ETL test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
• Validate data transformations, loads, and extractions across different layers of the data pipeline.
• Perform data validation, data reconciliation, and back-end testing in SQL and big data environments.
• Develop automation scripts for ETL testing using tools such as Python, Selenium, or similar.
• Identify, document, and track defects using test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality data products.
• Perform root cause analysis on data issues and report findings to the development team.
• Work with BI teams to ensure data accuracy in dashboards and reports.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL skills – writing complex queries, joins, and aggregations.
• Hands-on experience in ETL testing and Data Warehouse concepts.
• Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or Azure Data Factory.
• Experience with large-scale datasets and testing data from various sources (flat files, APIs, databases).
• Knowledge of data reconciliation, data profiling, and validation techniques.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience in test automation (Python/Java preferred) for data pipelines.
• Educational qualifications such as a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (specific degree requirements not specified).
