PHP Developer

Job Summary

The PHP Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications using PHP and related technologies. This role requires a strong understanding of backend and frontend development, database management, and modern frameworks such as Laravel. The ideal candidate will contribute to delivering high-quality software solutions that align with business objectives and enhance user experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications using PHP and Laravel frameworks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliverables.
  • Manage and optimize database structures and queries for performance and reliability.
  • Integrate user-facing elements developed by frontend developers with server-side logic.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software.
  • Ensure application security, data protection, and best coding practices.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in PHP development.
  • Proficient in Laravel or similar PHP frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of relational database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Experience with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Knowledge of RESTful API development and integration.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Understanding of cloud services and deployment (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Exposure to unit testing and code review processes.

Experience

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in PHP development, with proven expertise in Laravel and full-stack web application development.

Environment

The role is based in Parel, Mumbai, and requires full-time, on-site presence. The typical work environment is an office setting with standard working hours. Collaborative teamwork and occasional client interactions are expected.
