Job Summary
The GCP & GKE Staff Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE). This role requires an experienced professional to lead complex cloud transformation programs, optimize cloud solutions, and ensure compliance with security and architectural best practices.
Responsibilities
- Assess, design, and implement GCP solutions focusing on compute, network, storage, identity, and security.
- Execute large complex cloud transformation programs from discovery through to migration execution.
- Collaborate with application architects and DevOps to transition Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) applications to Platform as a Service (PaaS).
- Create proofs-of-concept to demonstrate the viability of cloud solutions.
- Ensure all cloud solutions comply with security and operational standards.
- Manage and troubleshoot Kubernetes deployments and configurations on GKE.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certifications: Must possess GCP Solution Architect Certification & GKE certification.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in GCP technologies, native discovery, assessment, migration tools.
- Proficiency in Terraform, PowerShell, and Ansible for cloud automation.
- Experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes and Docker.
- Strong scripting skills in Python and Unix shell.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines using Git, Jenkins, and Artifactory.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, ability to work collaboratively in teams, effective communication, and problem-solving capabilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) and/or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD).
- Knowledge of container orchestration best practices, including logging and monitoring tools such as Splunk.
- Familiarity with Spark in GKE.
- Experience with cloud security best practices.
Experience
- Minimum 8+ years of relevant work experience in cloud architecture and infrastructure design with a focus on GCP and GKE.
Environment
- Remote work setting with occasional travel to Bangalore required.
Salary
- Estimated salary: ₹1.3 Lakhs Per Month.
