UI/UX Designer
Job Summary
We are seeking a UI/UX Designer to join our founding team as the first design hire. This role will focus on owning the complete design function, creating user experiences that align with our vision for a category-defining fintech app.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end product design across mobile app (and later, web), from research inputs to final UI.
- Create user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, visual assets, and interactive prototypes in Figma.
- Prototype and iterate on UX/UI designs based on user feedback and usability testing.
- Conduct user research, testing, and data analysis to refine designs.
- Build a clean, scalable design system aligned with our brand identity and product philosophy.
- Translate complex financial concepts into simple, intuitive, and delightful user experiences.
- Work closely with product and engineering to deliver smooth, pixel-perfect implementations.
- Conduct usability tests, analyze feedback, and iterate quickly based on insights.
- Collaborate with user research to deeply understand user motivations, behaviors, and pain points.
- Establish the design culture—processes, best practices, and standards—for all future hires.
- Ensure designs are consistent, accessible, and optimized for global user segments.
- Stay updated with global UX patterns, design trends, and innovations in fintech & wealth products.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3–7 years of experience designing high-quality consumer mobile apps (fintech experience is a strong plus).
- Skills:
- Exceptional UI design skills with a strong portfolio showcasing clean, modern, and world-class work.
- Expert-level proficiency in Figma (auto-layout, components, prototyping, design systems).
- Strong understanding of UX principles, interaction design, accessibility, and user psychology.
- Ability to break down complex problems into elegant, intuitive solutions.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional teams.
- High ownership mindset—comfortable working in fast-paced, 0→1 startup environments.
- Experience conducting or collaborating on usability studies and design research.
- Attention to detail with a pixel-perfect craft mindset.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with global UX patterns and an understanding of design trends specific to fintech and wealth products.
