Job Summary

The Secured Lending Specialist will play a critical role in the development and management of secured lending portfolios, particularly focusing on Micro Loan Against Property (LAP) targeted at self-employed individuals and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). This position aims to enhance the company's lending capabilities while ensuring robust risk management and underwriting practices are established and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and manage Micro LAP portfolios averaging ticket sizes of ₹10–15 lakhs.
• Develop and implement credit and risk policy frameworks and underwriting guidelines.
• Conduct cash flow assessments, bank statement analyses, and evaluations of GST/Income Tax Returns (ITR) for self-employed customers.
• Collaborate with various teams to design strategies for scaling secured lending operations.
• Monitor portfolio performance and perform risk management activities to ensure portfolio health.
• Build relationships with stakeholders in secured lending, including NBFCs, banks, Housing Finance Companies, and FinTech firms.

Qualifications

• Experience: 10+ years in Secured Lending with a focus on Micro LAP/Loan Against Property.
• Skills:
  • In-depth underwriting knowledge of self-employed individuals.
  • Proficiency in cash flow assessments and collateral valuation.
  • Strong analytical skills for risk policy framework design.
  • Proven ability to scale lending businesses.
  • Experience with NBFCs, Banks, Housing Finance Companies, or FinTechs.
• Educational Qualification: Relevant degree in finance, economics, or related fields is preferred.

• Familiarity with latest regulatory requirements in secured lending.
• Experience in technology-driven lending solutions or platforms.
