Job Summary

The Credit Analyst is responsible for evaluating the creditworthiness of customers, developing and implementing credit policies, and managing the accounts receivable process to align with the company’s financial goals. The role is integral to ensuring timely payments and minimizing credit risk, directly contributing to ABB's operational success.

Responsibilities

  • Credit Assessment and Risk Analysis: Evaluate the creditworthiness of customers by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and relevant data to determine credit limits and terms.
  • Credit Policy Development and Implementation: Develop and implement credit policies aligned with ABB Group Credit Policy, including guidelines for credit limits and negotiation terms.
  • Business Relationship Management: Work closely with the Collection Team and various business units to resolve credit-related issues and ensure prompt payment.
  • Collaboration with Sales and Finance Teams: Collaborate with sales to evaluate potential customers and provide guidance on credit terms while managing accounts and cash flow.
  • Conduct Credit Committee Meetings: Organize and participate in credit committee meetings to review credit applications and implement action items.
  • Credit Monitoring and Collections: Monitor customer accounts for timely payments, manage collections for overdue accounts, and coordinate with the Collection Team as necessary.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Generate reports on credit-related metrics to assist management in assessing credit risk and making informed decisions.
  • Perform Annual Review of Customers: Conduct annual reviews to update credit limits, risk categories, and credit check rules.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance.
  • Experience: 0-2 years of experience in credit management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and communication skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Knowledge of SAP is a significant plus.
  • Flexibility: Must be willing to work flexible shift timings.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in risk assessment and management.
  • Familiarity with financial statement analysis.

Experience

  • A minimum of 0 to 2 years of relevant experience in credit management.
