Regional Sales Manager (RSM) – North Zone

Company Overview

Khetika (www.khetika.com) is a fast-growing, Mumbai-headquartered food brand dedicated to bringing the goodness of "Farm-to-Table" directly to consumers. We specialize in conscious farming and processing for staples (including high-quality, single-origin spices) and premium packaged foods. By leveraging a tech-driven supply chain, zero-preservative processing, and sourcing directly from farmers, Khetika is rapidly disrupting the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and packaged food space. As we aggressively expand our General Trade (GT) presence, we are looking for an entrepreneurial leader to build our North Zone business completely from scratch.

Job Summary

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) for the North Zone will be responsible for establishing and growing Khetika's market presence in the region. This role involves building the distribution network, leading a sales team, and driving revenue growth while strategically expanding into key micro-markets.

Responsibilities

  • Build from Scratch: Own the end-to-end setup of the General Trade (GT) distribution network for Khetika across the Northern Zone.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales hierarchy, transitioning from Area Sales Managers (ASMs) to Territory Sales Managers (TSMs) across multiple states.
  • Scale Revenue: Drive aggressive penetration to scale regional sales performance, taking the brand through its next phase of rapid growth.
  • Market Expansion: Strategically expand presence across primary target states, specifically identifying and tapping micro-markets within Uttar Pradesh (UP), Rajasthan, and Delhi.
  • Partner Management: Appoint and manage super-stockists, distributors, and key retail partners to ensure 100% stock availability and seamless supply chain flow.

Qualifications

  • Mandatory Selection Criteria:

    • Direct, prior experience selling spices is required.
    • Strong, proven track record in General Trade (GT) channel management within the packaged food or FMCG sectors.
    • Deeper network and localized on-the-ground experience in at least one or more of the regions: Uttar Pradesh (UP), Rajasthan, or Delhi.
    • Prior experience working with established FMCG firms or Tier-2 packaged food brands.
  • Desired Skills & Competencies:

    • Ability to work comfortably in an unorganized startup environment and scale it into an organized structure.
    • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-state territories with an intense focus on market execution.
    • Comfortable with handling sales tracking systems, tech-led supply chains, and distribution analytics.

Environment

The role demands extensive regional travel within the North Zone of India, with a base in Delhi NCR, Uttar Pradesh, or Rajasthan. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced and dynamic startup environment.
