Job Summary

This role is designed for a technical professional with strong expertise in managing and deploying Apigee Hybrid, AWS, and Kubernetes environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust API management solutions alongside scalable cloud infrastructure and container orchestration systems. In this role, you will contribute significantly to optimizing digital interactions and ensuring seamless integration between various IT systems and microservices.

Responsibilities

• Design and Implement API Solutions: Architect and deploy Apigee Hybrid solutions to manage and secure API integrations.
• Cloud Infrastructure Management: Build, maintain, and optimize AWS cloud environments ensuring high availability and scalability.
• Kubernetes Cluster Operations: Oversee container orchestration by managing Kubernetes clusters, ensuring efficient scaling and deployment of microservices.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development and operations teams to integrate API services and streamline cloud-based processes.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor, troubleshoot, and fine-tune the performance of API gateways, cloud components, and containerized applications.
• Security Implementation: Implement and enforce best practice security measures across API, cloud, and container environments.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable hands-on experience with Apigee Hybrid.
• Proficiency in AWS services (such as EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.).
• Solid experience in operating and managing Kubernetes clusters.
• In-depth understanding of API management and integration best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience with containerization tools like Docker and deployment tools such as Helm.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud automation tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Certified Kubernetes Administrator.

Experience

• Relevant hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, and API management.
• Prior involvement in managing Apigee Hybrid implementations is highly desirable.
• Experience in dynamic, fast-paced environments with cross-functional teams will be advantageous.
