Job Summary

The Lead Web Developer – Full Stack is responsible for modifying existing application code, developing new application components, and ensuring that the application meets users' needs. This role is crucial for the design, development, testing, debugging, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of programming solutions, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the organization’s technological landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Modify existing application code or interfaces or build new application components from detailed requirements.
  • Analyze requirements and support the design, development, testing, debugging, deployment, and maintenance of applications and interfaces. Documentation of the work is essential.
  • Participate in programming and application development aspects, including file design, updates, storage, and retrieval.
  • Maintain developed solutions on an ongoing basis.
  • Formulate concepts, define system scope, and establish technical objectives based on user needs, requiring strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Enhance processes to resolve operational problems and add new functions while considering schedule, resource constraints, and application structure.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements during development activities.
  • Guide various groups on application systems activities and work under general directions, reporting to a team lead or supervisor/manager.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences or Information System Management required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6-9 years in application development, preferably in financial services or captive auto finance companies.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in JAVA 1.8, J2EE, Spring Boots, JavaScript, Servlets, JDBC, Hibernate, RESTful Services, and SOAP Services.
    • Experience with multiple programming languages including Java/J2EE, Spring, JSON, XML, SQL (DB2-PostgreSQL).
    • Ability to design and develop Web Services, APIs, and interfaces.
    • Familiarity with API documentation tools like Swagger.
    • Advanced UI development skills with Angular, React JS, HTML5, CSS3, and XML.
    • Knowledge of DevOps tools (GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins).
    • Experience in SCRUM/AGILE environments using JIRA.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively.
    • Self-motivated, able to work autonomously when necessary.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
  • Familiarity with UNIX (AIX) and UNIX scripting.
  • Knowledge of testing methods, including unit and integration testing (JUnit, JMock).

Experience

  • Minimum of 6-9 years of relevant experience, particularly in large-scale enterprise environments.

Environment

  • Work shift timings will be flexible to accommodate partial work from the office in the morning hours with evening availability until 12 PM EST for global team discussions.
