Job Summary

The Kubernetes Tech Lead will be responsible for leading the migration of applications from EC2 to Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), focusing on improving scalability and container orchestration. This position will play a critical role in managing application upgrades, deploying code changes, and ensuring consistent application performance across different environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead migration of applications from EC2 to EKS, enhancing scalability and container orchestration.
  • Execute application version upgrades and deployments on EC2 servers to ensure up-to-date application functionality.
  • Implement and manage EKS code deployments using Bitbucket and Argo CD, maintaining automated and reliable CI/CD pipelines.
  • Automate EKS version upgrades through CI/CD pipelines leveraging tools like Bitbucket and Argo CD.
  • Deploy Kubernetes workloads using custom YAML manifests, managing Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps, and Secrets.
  • Ensure compliance with auditing and asset control for customer environments while providing support for existing application landscapes.

Qualifications

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficient in Kubernetes, EKS, Argo, Jenkins, and Bitbucket.
    • Experience with AWS Cloud and DevOps concepts.
    • Knowledge in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and PowerShell.
    • Strong understanding of Docker containers and related containerization technologies.
    • Familiarity with infrastructure management tools like GIT, Terraform, and ServiceNow.
  • Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Knowledge in AWS Networking and Load Balancing techniques.
  • Background in designing architectural documentation for multi-cluster Kubernetes platform deployments.

Experience

  • Minimum of 6+ years experience in cloud technologies, especially in Kubernetes and EKS environments.
  • Proven track record in installation, configuration, and administration of Cloud Kubernetes distributions while adapting to work with multiple teams.

Environment

  • Position is based in Bengaluru.
  • This role requires both remote work flexibility and potential in-office responsibilities.

Salary

Estimated salary rate is 150K/month.
