Sr Power Apps Engineer

Job Summary

The Sr. Power Apps Engineer is responsible for leading solution architecture and design reviews, overseeing the end-to-end delivery of Power Apps solutions. This role ensures the effective governance, security, and quality of applications while engaging with customers to gather and translate requirements into actionable deliverables. The engineer will work independently and efficiently during UK business hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead solution architecture and design reviews, producing High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD), along with sequence diagrams and data/permission models.
• Own the delivery process from start to finish, including backlog shaping, estimates, building, testing, deployment, and hypercare.
• Manage Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes using Git-based workflows, encompassing environment strategy (development/testing/production), automated deployments, and release notes.
• Ensure security and compliance through tenant and environment governance, Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies, Row-Level Security (RLS), Operational-Level Security (OLS), least-privilege access, and auditing.
• Uphold quality standards by implementing unit and integration tests, conducting peer reviews, performance profiling, telemetry and monitoring, as well as thorough documentation.
• Conduct customer-facing activities including running workshops, gathering and translating requirements, challenging assumptions, and presenting findings to senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience: 4 to 7 years in Power Apps development and solution delivery.
• Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in Power Apps (both Canvas and Model-Driven Apps), including responsive design and offline capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Dataverse schema design and Power Fx.
  • Experience in building and managing custom connectors and integrations using Power Automate, Logic Apps, and API Management.
  • Skills in performance tuning (delegation strategies, optimized galleries/forms) and managing security roles/field-level security.
• Language Skills: Excellent English (both written and spoken) for effective stakeholder engagement.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of PowerComponent Framework (PCF) controls and integration with Azure Functions/Service Bus.
• Experience in governance at scale.

Experience

• 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in Power Apps and related technologies.
