Senior Vice President – Corporate Registry

Company Overview

The Corporate Registry Business Unit offers issuer services to over 7,000 listed and unlisted entities in corporate India, holding a 48.1% market share. The business unit manages over 50% of Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) in India, having partnered with over 1,700 IPOs. Its IPO allocation solution uniquely supports all subscription types from conceptualization to operationalization and stabilization. The unit provides infrastructure setup, regulatory requirements, and personnel management among other services.

Job Summary

The Senior Vice President – Corporate Registry will oversee business development, operations, and financial performance within the Issuer Services business. This role involves developing innovative solutions and services leveraging technology and deep domain expertise. The position reports to the Business Unit head and is situated in Hyderabad.

Responsibilities

  • Client Management: Oversee client relationships and operational management in the Register and Transfer Agent domain.
  • Strategy Development: Formulate and implement business plans aligned with organizational strategic objectives, focusing on growth, profitability, risk management, and innovation.
  • P&L Management: Drive key financial metrics and be accountable for Profit and Loss (P&L) management for the respective Lines of Business (LOB).
  • Innovation & Technology: Utilize technology to create and implement innovative solutions and services to scale operations and explore new areas.
  • Financial Management: Ensure efficient, effective, and compliant financial operations, overseeing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the organization’s client base and revenue streams, including partnerships and new product development.
  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership to the management team and employees, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including clients, investors, regulators, and industry associations.
  • Risk Management: Develop and maintain robust risk management processes and controls to mitigate risks to the organization’s financial health and reputation.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements, including reporting requirements, data privacy, and anti-money laundering regulations.

Qualifications

  • Education: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Company Secretary (CS) or MBA in Finance.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and spoken communication and presentation skills in English.
  • Experience: Minimum of 20 years of extensive experience in financial services with a proven track record of leadership and business success.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage complex financial operations.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of relevant regulatory and compliance frameworks.
  • Collaborative Skills: Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across the organization.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in technology-driven financial services or solutions.
  • Knowledge of emerging trends in the financial services industry.

Experience

  • A minimum of 20 years of relevant experience in financial services, particularly in roles involving leadership, business development, and operations management.
